My Story
I have always kept myself physically fit; a keen runner, swimmer, gym enthusiast and love any outdoor adventure involving exercise or a challenge. I grew up mindful of my relationship with food and my diet as I suffered with an eating disorder as a teenager but always felt I was in control of my health, most of the time! However, my focus only on the physical meant I was ignoring other unhealthy behaviours that were impacting my overall wellbeing. I was always on the go, neglecting my sleep, hydration, breathing, gut health and in particular my stress levels and the daily impact it was having on my nervous system.

In 2018, at 49 years old, I suddenly found myself in a mentally and physically dark place with multiple 'unexplained' symptoms which led to anxiety and depression. After seeking help, I was diagnosed as being menopausal and struggled with accepting this new normal which was preventing me from living the life I wanted. My job was becoming more demanding as we entered lockdown and after a year of workplace stress I suffered burn out. My nervous system was now stuck in 'fight or flight' and after contracting Covid I entered into a 12-month battle with Long Covid which forced me to leave my career.
My body was broken, I was weak and I was struggling to eat, sleep and move. My nervous system was stuck, my gut health was poor, I had disordered breathing and was left with many intolerances and allergies. I found myself in a dark place physically and emotionally and was struggling to find answers or help.

At this point I turned to my love and passion for science, wellbeing and nature to begin my journey to a better me. Embracing a more holistic approach to health I considered not just the physical but the emotional, mental and spiritual elements of wellbeing. I slowly and consistently worked on rebuilding my health from the ground up, burning away what was holding me back. Firstly focussing on stress management, gut health and the power of the breath before further developing my strength, resilience and fitness to rise from the ashes stronger, healthier and happier. Like a phoenix!

As a certified health and wellbeing coach, qualified personal trainer and lifelong teacher I use my knowledge, training and personal experiences to support women who are seeking change and want to live a full and vibrant life every day, no matter what their age.

Now as part of my personal transformation I embrace a holistic approach to health and wellbeing, focusing on the balance of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects. I am passionate about sharing all the tools, techniques and ways of living that helped me on my journey to feeling wonderful every day.​​
